About Us& The Rules

Tom and Gale Frank are the owners of The Moose Cabin. Since 1987 we have shared our mountain getaway with fellow desert dwellers. It's our private home and we have decorated it in such a manner that our visitors think of it as their home also.

We don't permit renters under the age of 21 unless accompanied by a parent.

The cabin is a No Smoking and No Pets zone. We ask that if you have any day visitors that they leave their pets at home.

Gale & Tom are the owners of a local software company and publish software to manage childcare centers.

The Moose Cabin took 1 year to build after the Aspen Fire 2003.

The Moose Story:

The moose in the entry of the main house was originally purchased from The Living Rainbow located in Summerhaven.It was a beautiful Lazart wall hanging of a moose that graced a wall of Helmut's Haven, the original cabin, for many years.

Gale's picture taking payed off after the Aspen Fire in 2003. Using the numerous pictures of the old cabin overlayed on the pictures of the charred remains she was able to pinpoint the location of the moose. Charred and bent he was rescued and brought back to Tucson where a glass case was built to protect him.
